The holiday season is here and our members stepped up to the plate again to provide for our friends and neighbors in need.  Best of the Batch Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch. Best of the Batch Foundation provides year-round educational programming to more than 3,800 children ranging in ages from 4 to 18, across 22 school districts in eight western Pennsylvania counties.  Charlie built a new facility in Homestead built by Union Carpenters.  We were able to provide a box truck full of toy between all the Locals.

Also, our members were able to donate over $1250 in Giant Eagle, Costco, and Target gift cards.  These gift cards will be used by the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to provide subsidized assistance to those in need.

The Officers and Delegates would like to thank everyone who donated and look forward to giving more next year.
